The most special kind of date.

When I was pregnant with T, I vowed to myself to make as much one on one time with him as possible before And after she arrived. I said I wouldn't let becoming a mother of two change my relationship with number one. We were going to have biweekly, or at the very Least monthly Jasper/mamma dates.

Yeah that has Not happened. And I feel pretty horrible about it. It's hard to get away from a nursing baby! The only times I have been away from Tindra in the past month is at night after she is asleep. Maybe once or twice during a quick morning nap. But until recently, her first naps were at 8:30 AM, a little early to have a mom and jasper date on the weekends when Drew is home.

So the dates, haven't happened. I try to make special mamma/jasper time daily, but with him in school from 8:30-3:30 even that is hard! We do make sure to play a quick game and read books together in bed every night. But with Jasper on spring break this week I was determined to have some much needed US time.

I told Jasper on Sunday that on Tuesday we would be going on a date just the two of us and he said "But what about Tindra? We will miss her!" Sweet boy always thinking about his sister. But then later I heard him explaining to her "You see T, before you came out of mamma's belly we used to go all the time just us, so it's okay for you to stay here with dad. He will take care of you, promise" so I think he was pretty excited to go also!

When it was nice to get ready for our date Jasper told me I wasn't allowed to see what he was wearing..He came out with a flannel shirt and a tie. He looked ridiculously adorable and I didn't have the heart to tell him it didn't really 'go'. He told me to go put on a black dress and shoes that make me tall. Bossy date huh?

I promise you I am Not wearing lipstick but clear carmex, those are just some Really chapped lips

We had such an amazing time, going for an ice cream cone at our favorite place, and then to see the new Wizard of Oz movie (great movie by the way, we both loved it!) And as I was tucking him in to bed last night, he tiredly whispered "Your the best" No You are the best little man. You are The best.

I do think that you need to publish more about this
subject, it might not be a taboo matter but
generally folks don't speak about therse topics.

  9. Woah! I'm really loving the template/theme of this site.
It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's difficult to get
that "perfect balance" between usability and appearance.
I must say you've done a awesome job with this. In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for
me on Internet explorer. Excellent Blog!

  10. Aw, this was an exceptionally good post. Spending some time and actual
effort to create a top notch article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a whole lot
and never manage tto get nearly anything done.
