When Jasper was 10 months, we decided that he needed either a sibling or a puppy. And since the sibling thing wasn't going to happen anytime soon, puppy it was. We did some research, and found out about Colorado Puppy Rescue. We went to an adoption event and we knew Remi needed to come home with us the second him and Jasper laid eyes on each other. They have been inseparable ever since.

He is Jasper's best friend, our family guard dog, and is even obsessed with baby Soren. As soon as I lay Soren in the bassinet, Remi is right by his side, ready to come give me a 'look' if he starts to fuss.
Sadly, he's a little over 7 now and his age is starting to show. He's still a puppy at heart, but his age is starting to slow him down a bit.

What a fun post! I've always wondered what it's like to go hiking as a dog. Remi seems like an awesome member of the family. We have two older dogs, and I'll have to check out that food! #client
