January
January brought a lot of outdoor fun- ice skating and sledding!
January was also one of the hardest months- if not The hardest month of my life. Leaving Jasper for 11 days to go to Sweden to see my grandmother before she passed away. Getting to spend her 80th birthday with her was special.
February
I joined in Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge- though I only lasted a few weeks I had a ton of fun and loved some of the outfits I 'found' in my closet
March
In March we moved from the suburbs to the heart of Denver. Jasper also got to experience his first St. Patricks Day parade (so did his mamma)
April brought weekend park dates- every Sat. we would grab starbucks and hang out at the local park.
Effed up my ankle pretty good- 9 months later my ankle still isn't the same size as it used to be
May
Celebrated my 4th Mothers Day!
A trip back to Iowa (our 2nd of the year, also went back in February for a wedding) to celebrate my little brother's high school graduation!
June
Concerts/picnics in the park!
The end of June brought my 2nd trip to Sweden in 6 months- first part was high school reunion for 2 of my besties and myself- this is 3 AM in the land of the midnight sun.
July
Preschool/early elem. school reunion happened in beginning of July in Northern Sweden!
And honeymoon in the Baltic Sea- Gotland.
Where my first real sunburn occurred while falling asleep on the beach.
Back in the states I turned 25 and went out to celebrate with friends
I also got to the point where I was finally 'okay' with my body. Jokes on me since I got pregnant a week later.
August
My favorite person in the whole world turned FOUR
And three weeks later we found out another little one would be joining us in April
Jasper's first camping trip and our only trip up in the mountains of the summer
September
Jasper and I headed to North Carolina for my little sister's beach wedding!
October
And October brought our 4th trip back to Iowa to sister's wedding reception
Harry Potter Halloween!
November
November brought our visitors from Sweden and a very growing belly and bootay as well
December
Our 5th trip to Iowa- to spend Christmas with family.
It's been quite a year. I lost both of my grandmothers to cancer just 7 days a part. I got to do a lot of traveling and got pregnant with baby girl. All pretty major. That being said, I'm glad 2011 is over and I'm excited to see everything 2012 has in store for us.
Happy New Year. Hope you are feeling well xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is cool to see your year in review, albeit a tough one for you. I hope that 2012 brings you much joy and hopefully a visit from me! (I'm going to a wedding June 23rd in Sedalia) Take good care and Happy New Year to you :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a year to be proud of and may you have an equally fruitful 2012!
