2 Months

Yep no idea how he's 2 months already (okay last friday..) but at the same time, it feels like he's always been apart of the family. He totally fits right in with this crazy crew. I do believe he's the biggest 'mamma's boy/girl' this family has seen. And that's saying something. At least twice a day Tindra says "Soren sure does love you mom', melts my heart. I'll take it because I'm equally obsessed with him.

He sleeps good at night, usually 8PM-7AM, with eating 11, 4 and 6 (ish) I know Tindra was sleeping like 8 hrs at this point, Jasper too but he just wakes up to eat and then back to bed in the bassinet next to me so it's not too bad. One of these nights (years) I'll get a full night sleep. And it will be heavenly.

During the day he will go 2-4 hrs in between eating. Totally zero schedule. I gave up on trying to get him on any sort of schedule. He clearly runs the show. He loves to eat. Its hands down his favorite thing in the world.

He loves his woombie. When he starts getting tired and fussy I just zip him  in that thing and he's out.

We had his two month check up on friday and he's 24 inches (90th percentile!) and 11 pounds 11 oz, 45%. I don't think Jasper or Tindra have ever been over 25th% for weight, so if I had to make beds..Soren is going to be the biggest one yet! Probably a good thing since if given the chance Tindra will use him as a pillow.

He is such a content, happy baby who just wants to be fed and held. And since he's most likely our last, I'll cuddle and feed him all day and night if he wants, this stage goes by way tooooo fast!

Denver Summer Bucket List

Jasper and I have started working on a bucket list for everything we want to do this summer, and I think it's a good one! Some of these things we have yet to do, some of them we do every summer. So if you are local make sure you check some of these places out!
1. Bikes rides to Cherry Creek farmers market And Pearl Street Farmers market. We are lucky enough to kind of live in the middle of both so we enjoy biking to both of them, but the Pearl Street one is a bit of a climb back since we are uphill from it!
2. Centennial Splash Park. It's a good one.
3.Bikes rides to our library weekly to get new books. Jasper will be having at least 30 min quiet, solo reading time a day during the summer so this is a must!
4.Pirates Cove.
5. Water World
6. Movie in the park
7. Eating most of our meals outside on the patio
8.Confluence Park
9. Mornings at the Zoo

10. Nature and Science Museum
11. Art Museum
12. Cherry Creek Reservoir
13. Hikes at : Bear o the lair; lake isabella
14. Local pools
Okay that's what we have so far, it's a work in progress.  Only a few more weeks of school left for him for the summer and then he's all mine!! Tindra is almost as excited as me to have him home all day.

A little nap time mothers day shopping for..myself

I've reached that in between phase in my clothing/size and I'm not a fan. I've lost most of the pregnancy weight (thank you breast feeding) but still have about 5 pounds to go. But even with losing most the weight, I'm bigger, wider, saggier, and know I will be for months. My body is not one to quickly bounce back like some (lucky B's.)

So I'm at that cross road of 'my maternity clothes are toooo big but my pre pregnancy clothes, mainly bottoms, are way to tight.' So whats a girl to do? Naturally do a little shopping on Forever21 and call it a mothers day present to myself. A few cheap, but new (breast feeding friendly) pieces makes me feel like a new woman while my body s l o w l y goes back to my normal size. A few of these pieces made it into my cart.

Any other places you like to buy super affordable pieces you know won't last but don't need to?

What is it like with three?

Thats the question I get asked most currently. And my honest answer is..its crazy. I was So not prepared for the craziness that comes with THREE. I'm so out numbered all day long. I honestly didn't think going from 2 to 3 was going to be a huge difference. The transition from 1 to 2 was so smooth, I kind of figured whats one more? HA. Jokes on me.

Its amazing. Seeing Jasper with a newborn now that he's almost 8 (eight!!!!) has been so special. And Tindra, well she's beyond obsessed with him and shows him off to every single person we encounter. "He's a Soren, want to see my Soren?"

But it's also Really hard. Maybe it's the ages? They all three have such different needs right now. Jasper needs lots of homework help every day during witching hour. And he needs one on one time to talk about his day at school, and practice soccer and flag football with. And to read with him in bed at night.

And Tindra, well she is a pretty needy, demanding toddler (is three still considered toddler?) who can't be left alone for ever 4 seconds or she Will attempt to give her newborn brother whole milk. True story.
And Soren, well he might be the neediest baby of mine yet. He basically refuses to be put down between the hours of 3 and 9 PM making that homework help and dinner prep and entertaining a just turned 3 year old slightly difficult.

But we are s l o w l y figuring out a system and routine. But as soon as I think I have it figured out, it changes. But for now we are coping and just figuring out this little newborn of ours!
