One of my favorite pregnancy products!

You guys I'm super excited to tell you about my absolute FAVORITE pregnancy product I've found. Mama Mio oil. I started off this pregnancy using Palmers oil and butter- but had to stop at around 8 weeks because the smell would literally make me gag and throw up.

Fast forward to 14-15 weeks I started using it again, this time the smell didn't bother me as much (or more like my gag reflex got better 2nd tri) but it would make me disgustingly greasy. I used it 3 times a day- and each time I used it I would have to stand there naked for 15-20 minutes before putting my clothes on so I wouldn't get the grease everywhere. No bueno. Who has time for that three times a day?

I received Mama Mio tummy oil right before Christmas and began using it religiously immediately. Needless to say I haven't touched my old palmer's stuff.

I could go on and on about this stuff, but I will tell you my 3 favorite things about it.

1. NO NASTIES- it's paraben free, petroleum free, phthalates free, sodium laureth and sodium lauryl sulphate free, colourant free synthetic fragrance free and xenoestrogen free! If you are like me you probably don't know what all those ingredients are- but TRUST me, they are not something you want to be putting on your body, especially while pregnant. So this is a HUGE HUGE plus.

2.The smell. It's amazing! It's very light and sweet- I can't put my finger on what it reminds me of, but the smell is so gentle (I'm not a huge fragrance person to begin with and during pregnancy smells Really bother me- hello I threw away my husbands deodorant just because I couldn't be near him when he had it on) that I seriously look forward to putting it on. Even Drew comments on how good it smells.

3. And this is an important one- NO GREASE! With other oils I've tried this pregnancy (bio oil, palmers, coconut oil) I can't get dressed forever- when I use the tummy oil, by the time I've finished putting on the ladies, my belly and thighs it's already soaked in and I can get dressed immediately! And for some reason though it doesn't stay greasy, it keeps my skin feeling super moisturized all day. Before my belly would start itching 4-5 hrs after applying oil so I would have to 're grease' while Jasper napped- but now I just use it once in the morning and once at night! Amazing I tell ya. And my skin have Never felt better! Like I think I want to use it even after if it's going to keep my skin this soft and smooth!

I was also sent the Mama Mio Omega Wonder-Full balm- and let me tell you, this is the best for dry skin. I've been having painful patches of dry skin on my face this pregnancy, as did Jasper in the beginning of January when we got back to Colorado- and a tiny bit of this at night would have us both waking up with no dry skin! Even Jasper loved it and asked for 'face medicine' at night before bed if I forgot. Drew has been stealing it to use on his knuckles as well when they get cracked and bloody (damn dry Colorado skin!)

After about 6 weeks of using daily I have about 1/3 of a bottle left and I know I will definitely be ordering again! 2 weeks into using it I ordered some and had it sent to my pregnant sister- she loves it too!

I was also sent Mama Mio Goodbye Stretch Mark and have been using it on my old stretch marks from after I had Jasper (no new ones this time around!!) and while I can't tell if it's going to help them fade I can tell that it's doing Something because the one stretch mark that itches from time to time (why the heck do they do that??) has definitely stopped itching!

I would, and have recommended Mama Mio products to all my pregnant friends, so if you are looking for a great product to try you should check them out!

Our weekend

We had a relatively relaxing weekend- 2 feet of snow in 30 hrs has a funny way of making you want to stay IN!

cuddling on  our snow day watching movies

No filter- doesn't the sky look awesome?

Saturday morning J let us sleep in a little by climbing into bed with us and his computer.

Heading out to shovel with dad! Thanks to his Polarn o Pyret clothes he was almost sweaty when he came in 2 hrs later!

After the halftime show I snuck in for a relaxing bath- complete with Sleepy bath gel and candles. Of course it was interrupted when a certain 4 year old knocked on the door yelling 'I gotta pooooop'

We woke up this morning to another 3 inches of snow and it's STILL coming down! Apparently we are beating every record for February snow fall since 1912..yay.

Bumpity Bump!

28 weeks 1 day! Getting super close!!

This little lady is now the size of a cabbage- 17 inches long and 2.9 lbs!! If she is the same size as her brother was then she needs to grow about 5 more inches and gain another 7 lbs- in 11 weeks. Is that possible?

Snow day!

We are totally having one.
Woke up this morning to 10+ inches of snow (only had about 3 inches when I went to bed at 11 last night) so we are declaring it a snow day and staying IN today.

My poor volvo sitting out all alone...should have thought to put her in the garage.

It's expected to keep snowing all day and into the night for another foot of snow possible- so I don't think we will even get out to play in it till tomorrow- though Jasper is already bugging me to go out.

Instead we have plans for hot chocolate, blue berry muffins (in the oven right now!) some valentine crafts and movies. Not a bad snow day huh?

Hate to ask AGAIN- but we have drifted and I'd love love to stay in the top 100! So could you pretty please take the 2 seconds and click twice?  I got more views from TBB yesterday than ever before!! Thanks so much guys!

Stepping out Saturday and BUMP

Saturday morning two friends and I went out for lunch and manis. It was incredibly relaxing to have a little ME time with friends. Plus getting a nice hand massage and pretty nails doesn't hurt either.

I only see these two friends every couple of weeks since they work full time and don't have kids- and I obviously stay home and have a 4 year old and a baby on the way. Which leads to opposite schedules!! Since we don't see each other that often, every time we do get together they are always surprised about how HUGE my belly is getting! One friend I didn't know last time I was pregnant so she's never seen me like this- plus she doesn't have any friends with kids so my belly continues to shock her!

If I would have checked these pictures before changing Sat. night I would have demanded a redo! Husband needs some photography lessons (we both do!)

Gah I don't realize how paled and washed out I am until I see pictures!! Mamma needs some vitamin D! And I need to not be standing in the sun when I have pictures taken since I can't keep my eyes open!

Outfit details
Leggings: H&M maternity, most comfortable pants Ever.
Shirt/Dress: Forever 21 ( non maternity but think it's the last time wearing while preggo!)
Boots: Nordstroms
Scarf: Bought at the cutest little store in Stockholm, Sweden in 2009

I can't really do an outfit post without posting what I'm wearing underneath...

THE BLANQI

This thing is life changing. Seriously. Not even exaggerating. Remember all that low pressure/pain I was having? Basically non existent when I'm wearing this!

*I'm not being paid for saying any of this but if they would like to send me the black or white blanqi I wouldnt mind :)  I stumbled upon the blanqi before christmas in pea and the pod and drew bought it for me and I've been in love ever since. I've turned preggo friends on to this and everyone LOVES it!!

Now for some stats

How far along: 27 weeks 1 day!! 12 weeks from TODAY I will have my daughter in my arms
Size of Baby: Head of cauliflower 16 in. and 2.5 lbs! I had a friend who had twins less than 2 lbs last summer so it's crazy that my baby is already quite a big bigger than they were when they were born!
Total Weight Gain: My scale is iffy- I need a digital one- but I think between 18-19 lbs total. Ouch.
Maternity Clothes: Nothing new to report here- all maternity jeans, can still wear regular leggings but my maternity ones are more comfortable. Shirts/dresses it's a mixture depending on the cut/style of the shirt. Did have to go bra shopping this weekend and go up TWO sizes, I was excited about that at first but now I def. don't want them to get any bigger! Pretty sure that's inevitable though.
Gender: Girl!
Movement:All. THe.Time. Especially at night- she's a little night owl!
Sleep: Decent- have to wake up often to switch sides because my hips are killing me but other than that I sleep fine
What I miss: Being comfortable
Cravings: Loving salads. And lays potato chips. And ice cream.
Symptoms:Out of breath easily, pressure, hips and back ache
What I’m looking forward to: Getting the glucous testing done and out of the way next week.
